Bosuns play a key role within the deck department, combining hands-on deck operations with leadership, maintenance planning and the supervision of deck crew.

## Typical Bosun Profile

Candidates may have experience or qualifications including:

– STCW Basic Safety Training
– Valid ENG1 or recognised seafarer medical
– Previous professional yacht experience
– Deck team leadership and supervision
– Tender driving and operations
– Powerboat qualifications
– VHF certification
– Mooring and anchoring operations
– Exterior maintenance and detailing
